Protests in Pakistan
Against Raymond Davis
Raymond Davis, announced as a staff member of the US Consulate (and after that officialy accepted as a CIA agent) in Lahore shot two Pakistani men dead in a crowded part of Lahore (Mozang Chowk), according to him in self-defense. A US Consulate vehicle that rushed in to 'rescue' Mr. David then ran over a third person, who also died. A murder case was then registered against Raymond Davis, who was handed into police custody. A case has also been registered against the driver of the US Consulate vehicle that ran over a third person, but the driver has not yet been apprehended. After a fair deal of scrambling by both US and Pakistani officials on what to do or say, the positions of both have now started becoming clear and they have taken the stance that is usually taken in such cases: the US is asking that Raymond Davis, as a diplomatic functionary, should be handed back to them
later on , the political immunity of raymond davis was not proved in the court. and Usa Officials accepted that Raymond davis is a CIA agent. but they were still demanding his release from Pakistani Govt.
Now the latest update……………… The relatives of murdered people were forcefully asked to forgive raymond davis , and apparently they agreed to forgive raymond davis in a result of a deal which is legalized. The deal is a money payment to the disturbed families. But keep in mind that the whole family members are missing from that day of deal. Print and electronic media is unable to meet them till now..
The second issue raised by the media and some political parties is , that what Raymond davis , a CIA agent ,was doing there , and why he need to shoot those people , and why the complete case was not followed. Why the Pakistani agencies were involved in forcing the relatives of killed innocents to forgive Raymond davis.
Pakistani people feel shame on this issue. And they feel that their corrupt govt. is a slave of America. And the top civil and army leadership is not sincere to Pakistan.
Pakistani people protested, against the release of Raymond davis.
