Sanctions can do nothing to Iranian nation

IRI's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad Wednesday urged the Western governments to realize that imposition of sanctions can do nothing to Iranian nation.

As to financial crisis in the US, Ahmadinejad said the American authorities have become distressed and have lost their self-confidence.

Most of world population suffer from threats, war, insecurity and instability created by the bullying powers, he said, adding that the big powers try to transfer their problems to other world countries.

Addressing a group of Ulema of the northeastern province of North Khorassan, he said the clerics are shouldering heavy responsibility to turn the Islamic Republic to an appropriate Islamic pattern for all Muslim nations.
